India's stealth destroyer INS Kochi launched
Kochi, Sep 18: India's first built stealth destroyer warship, INS Kochi was launched on Friday, Sep 18 by Madhulika Verma, wife of Admiral Nirmal Verma, Chief of Naval Staff.
The 6500-tonne ship, is the second warship of Project 15 A, built by Mazgaon Dock Limited Mumbai. The INS Kochi is equipped with 'pontoon-assisted launch technique'.

designed
with
using
advanced
technologies.
In addition, four AK-630 rapid-fire guns and a medium range gun will boost the ship's close-range defence capability.
The ships will also be fitted with indigenously developed twin-tube torpedo launchers and anti-submarine rocket launchers.
