Three teenagers detained for stoning Rahul's train

Haryana, Sep 17: Haryana Police has detained three teenagers in connection with the attack on the Rahul Gandhi's train on Tuesday, 15 night.

"Based on our investigation, today (Thursday) we have detained three teenagers from Gharaunda village for questioning. The railway guard had said that the miscreants were in the age group of 16-17 years. So we are focusing on youngsters in the neighbouring villages," said inspector general of police (Rohtak) V Kamaraj.

Ruling out the possibility of involvement of any political party, Kamraj said, "Not at all, there is no political party involved in it. However, our investigation is still under progress and very soon we will nab the accused."

On Wednesday, Sep 16, the Haryana Police along with forensic experts and Railway Protection Force (RPF) launched investigations into the stone pelting incident.

Congress General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, Sep 15 took the Swarn Shatabdi Express as part of the government's austerity drive. A group of miscreants pelted stones at the train at around 10 pm night near Panipat.
