No disobedience of SC order: Maya Govt
New Delhi, Sep 17: Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday, Sep 17, said that it has complied with Supreme Court directions and stopped all construction activities at the Kanshi Ram Memorial Sthal in Lucknow.
The Mayawati government had filed an affidavit denying media reports that it went ahead with the construction activities at the site of memorials.
On Sep 11, the apex court had directed immediate stoppage of all further construction, repair and maintenance activities at the memorials.
Mayawati government said that there is no disobedience of the SC order and it was following in letter and spirit the undertaking given by it on Sep 8.
