Ishrat’s mother moves SC against stay on findings
New Delhi, Sep 17: Ishrat Jahan's mother has reportedly approached the Supreme Court against the Gujarat High Court ruling that restricted the Tamang magisterial report on the fake encounter in which Ishrat along with three others were killed in 2004.
In his report, Magistrate Tamang says that the police murdered the four people in 'cold blood' for fame and name.
Based on the findings in the judicial probe, the Magistrate accused the police of 'staging' the encounter by falsely claiming that the four youngsters were plotting to kill Chief Minister, Narendra Modi.
Restricting the report, the Gurat High Court said that the observations made were beyond Tamang"s jurisdiction and also said that magistrate should have sought permission to publish or furnish report to anybody.
