Blast in Kabul kills six, injures 38
London, Sep.17 (ANI): At least six persons have died and 38 injured in a bomb attack on Thursday in the centre of Kabul amid rising tension in Afghanistan.
The blast occurred near the U.S embassy. Besides, many other foreign embassies and military installations are also located in the area.
Italian authorities said a bomb attack on one of its military convoys in the Afghan capital, Kabul, has killed at least six people.
It was unclear how many of the dead in the apparent suicide blast were Italians, BBC quoted the Italian Defence Ministry as saying.
Meanwhile, the Afghan Health Ministry said at least 38 others were injured in the attack said.
Reports said two Italian military vehicles were hit by the bomb.
Though it could not be ascertained what exactly caused the blast, which occurred shortly after midday, eyewitnesses said it shook buildings.
The blast came up amid mounting violence between the Taliban and foreign and Afghan security forces, and also amid widespread accusations of fraud in last month's elections. (ANI)
