Afraid of kidnappers, parents escort wards to schools in Bihar
Patna, Sep 17 (ANI): Frightened parents escorted their wards to schools following kidnapping of a student in Patna.
Unidentified persons kidnapped Shresht Sanjay, a standard one student at Christ church school in Kankarbagh area at gunpoint on Monday.
The kidnappers have not made any ransom demand as yet.
The police were interrogating the driver of an auto-rickshaw, which was used by Shresht, for further investigations.
Parents said that they felt unsafe after the kidnapping incident.
"We are feeling unsafe, if this type of incident happened in the main centre of the town then it is obviously it increases our woes. What our police and administration are doing. If the incident took place where all major offices like district magistrate's office is situated then it is really a serious issue," said Om Prakash, a parent.
Parents urged the administration to take steps to stop the recurrence of such incidents.
"We want that the government and administraton must take essential measures to ensure safety of our wards...we want they must ensure the security of those school kids who commute in auto and other vehicles," said Amitabh Kumar, another parent. (ANI)
