Haryana police probes attack on Rahul's train

Gharaunda, Sep 16; Despite inital speculations that the attack on train in which Congress General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi was travelling was act of mishchief and nothing serious, police and forensic experts have launched a probe into the incident.

"We are investigating the matter based on various clues. People in nearby villages are being questioned about who was behind this incident," Rohtak range Inspector General of Police, V Kamaraj was quoted as saying in a news agency report.

The Haryana police as well Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials are taking the matter very seriously.

Police is trying to figure out if miscreants were youth or children and if the attack was deliberate or just another incident of stone throwing on trains.

The incident took place on Tuesday, Sep 15 night when some miscreants pelted stones at the Swarn Shatabdi Train that Rahul Gandhi was travelling in, as part of Congress' Austerity drive.
