US Fritzl Phillip Garrido to face sex victim in court

London, September 15 (ANI): "American Fritzl" Phillip Garrido will come face to face with Jaycee Lee Dugard in court, after being accused of holding her as his sex slave for 18 years.

Garrido is accused of kidnapping Jaycee when she was 11 years old and raping and fathering her two children, now aged 11 and 15, during her time in captivity.

The 58-year-old and his wife Nancy Garrido have pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, rape, and false imprisonment charges, reports the Sun.

Jaycee, now 29, has been told Garrido, who is reportedly a suspect in other missing children cases, has the right to face his accuser.

A hearing in Placerville, California, set Garrido's bail at 18.5 million pounds over the serious nature of the charges, the injuries to the victim and the fact Garrido was on parole at the time of the alleged crime. (ANI)
