70 youth attack 3 Indians in Melbourne
Melbourne, Sep 15: A group of 70 youth 'brutally bashed' two Indian students and their uncle while playing pool.
26-year-old Sukhdip Singh, his brother Gurdeep Singh and uncle Mukhtair Singh were attacked in the eastern suburb of Epping on Saturday, Sep 12.

locals
who
were
attending
a
party," said
Onkar
Singh,the
victim's
relative.
"They were quietly playing and were trying to avoid trouble even after these locals were trying to provoke them by passing comments."
He added that the attackers mostly in their teens and around twenties asked the victims to return to India.
Onkar claimed police informed him that six of the 70 attackers were arrested.
Sukhdip, who broke his cheek, jaw and nose bones was released on Monday, Sep 14.
Around 30 Indian students were attacked in various cities from Jun to Aug 2009.
