Minister in trouble for attending beer party

Rajasthan, Sep 14: The Bharatiya Janata Party's women front demanded the resignation of Bina Kak, the state tourism and woman and child development minister for attending a beer promotion party on Friday, Sep 11.

"The Front has sent a letter to chief minister Ashok Gehlot," said Suman Sharma, president of the Front.

"This is a shame for the minister who being a lady and holding portfolio of woman and child development attended the beer promotion party."

A beer production company and a gourmet expert organised a party which, included a cookery competition.

Kak, however, denied involvement with beer party and said she had gone to the party to attend the cookery competition.

"Since I am a good cook, I went to the party for cookery competition after few of my friends asked me to join," said Kak.

"I came to know about the beer promotion only after I reached the hotel, and I did not go that side."
