H1N1 claims 16 more lives, India's toll at 188
New Delhi, Sep 14: Sixteen Swine flu deaths have been reported across India, taking the country's H1N1 death toll to 188.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state. Reporting four new deaths, the toll has jumped to 82 in the state.
Karnataka and Gujarat reported five deaths each taking the states' death to 62 and 17 respectively.
Andhra Pradesh's H1N1 death toll stands at nine after it reported two new deaths, the health officials said.
Apart from this, 160 fresh cases were reported in the country, out of which 57 were from Maharashtra and 49 from Delhi. With these cases, the total number of people affected with Swine Flu stands at 6,139.
