Pak denies India rocket attack, blames LeT
Amritsar, Sep 13: After Pak Rangers claimed that they were not behind the Friday, Sep 11, rocket attacks on Indian villages, the arrow turned towards the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The 107 mm rockets landed about 2 km inside the Indian side at Modhey, Rattan Kalan, Dalkae and Dhoneya Khurd villages, near Attari.
BSF commandant Baljit Dhillon on Saturday , Sep 12, afternoon held a flag meeting with Pakistan Rangers leader wing commander Akbar Bhatt, who denied knowledge of the attack or Pak army"s role.
Sources said Lashkar-e-Taiba men, who operate in the Pakistani state of Punjab, were responsible for the incident.
Following the rocket attack, BSF responded with machine guns and mortar shells from Pul Kanjari, Attari.
