Bangladeshi fashion designer showcases collection in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sep 11(ANI): Bibi Russell, a noted fashion designer from Bangladesh, showcased her new collection, which is inspired by the rural life on the second day of Kolkata Fashion Week here on Thursday.

Russell's creations, which included sarees, salwar kurtas and western wear, were based on natural fabrics like cotton and silk.

"If you see my collection, barring some clothes majority of clothes are made of cotton be it scarves or shoes. Keeping in mind the geo-tropical climate here I have used cotton in my collection," said Russell.

The second edition of the Kolkata Fashion Week began on a promising note with ace designers and interesting showstoppers on Wednesday. It is slotted to end with a bang, with a Manish Malhotra show on Sunday. (ANI)
