Bangalore church attacked, Oppn demands action

Bangalore, Sep 10: A church in Anekal taluk in Bangalore was reportedly vandalised by unidentified people on Thursday, Sep 10. The miscreants damaged two statues of Jesus and Mary and broke window panes.

"The incident occurred in the wee hours. The miscreants broke the window panes of SFS church and also damaged the statues of Infant Jesus and Mother Mary on the roadside just outside the church", police said.

While the Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya brushed aside the incident as 'minor', opposition Congress has demanded that the BJP government bring the guilty to justice and instill confidence among minorities who are gripped by fear due to such incidents.
