German leaders on teabags

Berlin, Sep 9: A small design company has made it possible for German citizens to have tea with the top candidates contesting in the upcoming elections.

Hamburg-based Donkey Products has launched a limited edition of tea bags featuring politicians on them.

The company has named this collection of unconventional tea bags 'WahlParTea' (German for 'ElectionParTea').

Each tag bag features a cartoon of a politician attached to one end. The politician's arms spread wide to hang on to the sides of the tea cup.

The leaders featured on the tea bags are Chancellor Angela Merkel, Frank-Walter Steinmeier of the Social Democrats, Oskar Lafontaine of The Left, and Guido Westerwelle of the Liberals FDP. And the co-leaders of the Green Party Renate Kuenast and Juergen Trittin, share one tea bag.
