2 civilians killed in Kabul airport bombing

Kabul, Se 8: A suicide bomb on Kabul's military airport outside the main gate of the base on Tuesday, Sep 8, killed two civilians and injured three international soldiers.

An officer with the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) confirmed that a suicide attacker targeted the military airport.

"It was a suicide attack outside the main gate of the military base at the airport," said Colonel Koziel Bart.

"All the gates of the base have been closed and all air operations have been suspended."

The Ministry of Interior said 'there are civilian casualties' but divulged no more details.
