Jinnah's grandson denies funding Jaswant's book

New Delhi, Sept 7: Industrialist Nusli Wadia, grandson of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, denied suggestions that he had financed Jaswant Singh's book on Pakistan's founder and added that Singh's expulsion from BJP had 'appalled' him.

"It is all nonsense. My grandfather is my grandfather, it is not going to change. I don't need Jaswant Singh to write a certificate for him," he told CNN-IBN.

He brushed aside the debates over the book 'Jinnah-India, Partition, Independence' involving some 'very close' friends of his.

"In the case of Jaswant Singh, I don't think anybody has the right to say he doesn't have the right to write a book," said Wadia.

He expressed his disappointment regarding BJP's action against Jaswant Singh.

"I am surprised, yes. I am very surprised. I am saddened and I am appalled," he said.
