Meera and family members granted interim bail
Islamabad, September 6 (ANI): Lollywood actress Meera and five other members of her family were granted interim bail until September 11 by a court on Saturday.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Shafiqur Rehman directed the accused to appear before police for investigation into the case registered against them.
Talking to reporters after the grant of bail, Meera insisted that the charges against her and her family were baseless.
She even said that she would soon clarify her position in a press conference, reports the Daily Times.
A case under sections 380 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered against Meera, her father, mother, brother, brother-in-law and five other unidentified persons on September 4.
However, the police failed to arrest the accused. (ANI)
