Ghaziabad residents protest against eviction order
Ghaziabad, Sep 5: Angry residents took to violent protests after they were asked to move from an unauthorised colony on Saturday, Sep 5, forcing the police to take immediate action.
The people set a bus on fire and indulged in stone pelting which prompted the police to use teargas shells and open fire in the air to control the protesting mob.
The police revealed that the protestors blocked the National Highway-24 at Ghaziabad and pelted stones at policemen on Saturday, Sep 5 morning. they were protesting against the government initiating a process to evict them from an unauthorised colony.
Since the teargas shells failed to subdue the mob, the police were forced to open fire in the air.
