Transport minstry warns states not to disobey SC
New Delhi, Sep 4: The transport ministry warned all the states against violating Supreme Court orders, which stated that all vehicles should have high security registration plates (HSRP).
"Non implementation of the scheme would definitely be viewed seriously by the Court and it may amount to committing Contempt of Court," Transport Secretary Brahm Dutt said in a letter to all Chief Secretaries.
"As such the states/union territories which have not implemented the scheme so far, need to take immediate steps in this regard," he added.
