Moily welcomes SC judges' move to disclose assets

New Delhi, Aug 27: Law Minister M Veerappa Moily on Thursday, Aug 27, welcomed the Supreme Court judges' move to disclose their assets public.

Moily said, "It is welcome. It is for the judges to decide how it should be done because what is best in the interest of the judges, they are the best judges."

Responding to the decision by the judges to declare assets, he said, "Not that it is new, they were not willing but there are certain things that judges unlike (others as) they are not elected people."

He also said, "If they have come forward to disclose it, it is welcome."
