Infosys and Wipro win 5-year deal with BP
Mumbai, Aug 27: Software and outsourcing giants, Infosys and Wipro have managed to win deals from oil and gas firm BP.
Under this five-year deal, India's leading software exporter, Infosys will be operating a large portion of BP's business systems. However, financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Speaking about the deal, Kris Gopalakrishnan, CEO and Managing Director, Infosys Technologies, said, "Infosys has a long standing relationship with BP, delivering consulting and technology services. We are well positioned to use our global sourcing expertise and transformational capabilities in the oil and gas domain."
On Wednesday, Aug 26 Wipro also announced that it has secured a five-year agreement with BP. Under this deal, Wipro will be providing IT applications development and maintenance services for BP's fuels and corporate businesses globally, say reports.
