Mogadishu, Aug 26: A French security agent kidnapped by insurgents in Somalia last month has escaped from the captors, Somalia officials said on Wednesday, Aug 26.
"The agent is safe in the presidential palace and in a good mood," said the assistant information secretary of the presidential palace, Abdulkadir Hussein Wehliye.
Sources said that the French men were abducted in Jul from a hotel in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. They were in the country to train Somali government forces, which are fighting Islam militants.
