Child labour case against actress Suchitra

Mumbai, Aug 25: A case has been filed against actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthy for flouting child labour law by employing a little girl as a domestic help, say reports.

While the Maharashtra Labour Secretary, Kavita Gupta said that the actresses house has been raided, Suchitra denies it.

“The only underage girl in my house is my little daughter. My house has not been raided," claims the actress.

This comes only few days after a TV actress Urvashi Dholakia was accused of torturing her domestic maid who was a minor too. The girl, who sustained burns and injury marks on her body, was brought to Mumbai in the pretext of adoption and education.
