One foreign telephone call is enough to frighten our politicians: PML-Q
Lahore, Aug.23 (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Syed has criticized the PPP Government for allowing foreign powers to interfere in the country's internal affairs.
Syed said the situation has worsened to such an extent that now political leaders are afraid of 'foreign telephone calls'.
Interacting with media persons here, Syed said the country's fate should be ascertained by its own people rather than foreign powers.
"Only single foreign telephone call is enough to frighten our politicians. It is high time when our country fate should be written through our fellow countrymen instead of foreign elements," he said.
He criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for giving 'veiled' support to the Pakistan People's Party led government, and said that his party will play the role of a 'true' opposition.
"Our party will play the true role of opposition now because N-League is on one hand enjoying powers in Punjab government and on the other hand is sitting on opposition benches in central government," The News quoted Syed, as saying.
He blamed the government of 'looting' the rights of thousands of people elected democratically in the local bodies by appointing administrators at local bodies department. (ANI)
