Sach Ka Saamna: Man attacks wife over bitter truth

Meerut, Aug 20: Star Plus reality TV show, 'Sach Ka Saamna' turned nightmare to Asha, after she confessed in front of her husband Rajesh that one of their two children wasn't his.

Notwithstanding the bitter truth of his wife, he took Asha to a nearby canal and slit her throat with a blade. Rajesh was about to push her into the canal but villagers spotted them.

The villagers rushed Asha to hospital and informed the police. Rajesh was arrested and booked for attempt to murder. Asha is battling for her life in hospital.

Samajwadi Party leader, Kamal Akhtar said all such programmes should be banned.

He also said, "This is not about Sach Ka Saamna or the Meerut incident alone. Many families have been ruined because of such TV shows. If the government does not clamp down on these programmes, they will destroy Indian culture."
