Tunnel discovered in Bhopal during civil engineering work

Bhopal, Aug 19 (ANI): A tunnel was discovered in the Pari Bazar area of Bhopal on Wednesday.

According to sources the tunnel dates back to the Mughal era.

Bhopal Muncipal Corporation authorities have informed the Archeological Department of the discovery.

P.K.Raghuvanshi, a deputy engineer said the tunnel has a ceiling in the shape of an arch. The length on both sides is 10 meters, he added.

The Archaeological Department has termed it a phenomenal discovery.

Dr. Narayan Vyas, Superintendent, Archaeological Department said the tunnel could be inter-connected to other historical monuments in the city.(ANI)
