Cong MLA held with live cartridges in Bhopal
Bhopal, Aug 19: Chhattisgarh Congress MLA T S Singhdeo was arrested for allegedly carrying 10 live ammunition in his baggage at Raja Bhoj Airport on Wednesday, Aug 19.
Bhopal Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad said, "Singhdeo has been arrested with the cartridges and booked under relevant Sections of Arms Act."
Prasad also said, "During a security check, the MLA from Ambikapur, who was to board a Jet Airways flight to Raipur, was found carrying the 10 cartridges of 270 rifle belonging to one of his relatives."
Gandhinagar police station house officer Anurag Pandey said that the CISF found the ammunition in the legislator's bag during screening and the police were informed.
