Kabul: Rocket strikes presidential palace
Kabul, Aug 18: Just two days before the presidential elections, a rocket hit the presidential palace in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul on Tuesday, Aug 18. However, no on were hurt in the attack, say the police.
Two rockets were fired into the Afghan capital. While the first strike caused heavy damage to the presidential palace, the second strike was aimed at the main police headquarters near the palace.

The
presidential
elections
are
all
set
to
begin
on
Thursday,
Aug
20
and
militants
who
have
vowed
to
disrupt
the
poll
have
attacked
twice
this
month.
This comes after a bomb was denoted right in front of the NATO headquarters on Saturday, Aug 15 which claimed at least seven lives and injured many people.
