Top Hizbul Mujahideen militant killed in J-K encounter
Udhampur, Aug 17 (ANI): A top Hizbul Mujahideen militant was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district today.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint operation was launched by police and army in Larad area of Mahore tehsil, 107 km from here.
Militants opened fire on security forces who retaliated. In ensuing firefight, the self-styled district commander of Hizbul Mujahideen identified as Altaf Hussein was killed.
The encounter was still continuing. (ANI)
