Coast Guard commandant chosen for Tatrakshak Medal
New Delhi, Aug 15 (ANI): Commandant Deepak Sharma of the Indian Coast Guard has been decorated with this year's Tatrakshak Medal (Gallantry).
According to a communiqui issued by the Coast Guard, President Pratibha Patil has also approved two Bar to Tatrakshak Medal (Gallantry) and three Meritorious Service award.
Deputy Commandant Arvind Kumar Tyagi and Navik Manish Sangram have been awarded with bar to Tatrakshak Medal (Gallantry).
Deputy Inspector General Ashok Kumar, and commandant Manoj Kumar Padi have been awarded Tatrakshak Meritorious Service Medal. (ANI)
