25,000 Indian, Pakistani companies engaged in mutual trade
Islamabad, Aug.13 (ANI): Notwithstanding the sour relationship between both countries, at least 25,000 companies of India and Pakistan are engaged in mutual trade.
According to Pakistan's Trade Ministry, 2656 Indian companies traded with Pakistan amounting to deals worth 8.92 billion rupees. Similarly, about 22,943 Pakistan based companies had trade of a whopping 65.32 billion rupees with India during the last fiscal year.
The ministry told the National Assembly that four major Indian automobile companies Tata, Mahindra, Bajaj and Segal have a substantial share in Pakistan's auto industry.
Cars, tractors, auto-rickshaw and CNG kits are being manufactured in Pakistan in collaboration with these Indian companies, The News reports. (ANI)
