The accident happened as eight wheels of the trains first coach derailed soon after it departed and headed towards Yamuna Bank, said Delhi Metro spokesperson Anuj Dayal.

Stating that the accident took place due to 'manual error', he said that no one was hurt as the train was in slow speed. The driver reportedly started the train when there was no signal leading to the accident.

This comes a month after accidents reported from the metro construction sites.
