US aware of India's step on detained N Korean ship

Washington, Aug 11: The US state department on Tuesday, Aug 11 said that it was aware of the steps taken by the Indian government with regard to detained suspicious North Korean Ship MV Mu San.

US state department spokesman Robert Wood said, "We are indeed aware of the steps that India took."

However, he refrained from going into details. "We are certainly aware of it, but I would refer you to the Indian government with regards to the particulars on it," Wood said.

The North Korean cargo ship was detained by the Indian authorities on Friday, Aug 11 when it has illegally entered its territorial waters near Port Blair.
