Pak denies accepting bodies of 26/11 terrorists
Islamabad, Aug 11: Pakistan on Tuesday, Aug 11 denied Maharashtra Home Minister claims that it had agreed to accept the bodies of the four of the nine terrorists who were killed during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack in 2008.
Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Abdul Basit told to a Online news agency that the reports on this issue in Indian media were baseless and fabricated.
Online said, "He strongly condemned this attitude of the Indian media and said that it was not a suitable time to publish such kind of baseless news items when only very recently the prime ministers of Pakistan and India had held a very important meeting in Sharm El Sheikh."
Basit said, "Pakistan's high commission in New Delhi had never made any request to India on handing over the dead bodies of four of the 26/11 attackers."
