Refusing to pay one yuan for bus ride costs Chinese miser 36,000!
New Delhi, August 7 (ANI): Fighting over just one extra yuan a mini-bus driver asked for his ride has cost a Chinese miser 36,000 yuan extra.
The man has been ordered by a court in Gongyi, Henan province, to pay the amount to the driver whom he beat up, after the latter asked him for an extra yuan on his fare in May.
The driver moved the court after his right ear got seriously damaged due to the beating at the hands of the passenger, reports the China Daily.
The Gongyi intermediate people's court also sentenced the man to a year in jail, but with a two-year reprieve. (ANI)
