TN: Teacher practised acupuncture on students

Chennai, Aug 6: In the second case of child rights violation reported from Tamil Nadu, a school teacher had been reportedly practising acupuncture on the students.

The teacher from Dindigul who has been doing this for quiet some time now was arrested after the parents of the children became aware of this.

The parents came to know about this when their children started fainting due to the treatment.

Alleging that he no only practised acupuncture on the students but also injected their daughters with steroids and drugs, the parents protested outside the school and beat up the teacher.

The police was forced to resort to lathicharge to control the situation along with arresting the principal and the teacher's wife.

Earlier, a teacher in Villipuram was arrested after he performed stunts with the help of motorcycles. The video of the stunts performed in a school function shows him riding on a motorcycle on top of children's hands.
