Over the past few months, there have been close to hundred attacks on Indians reported from the country and officials have identified that there might be a 'racist element' to these assaults.
Apart from the attacks, SM Krishna is expected to be talking about the issue of lifting of ban on uranium exports.
He will be meeting the Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd and his Australian counterpart Stephen Smith in the visit.
