Delhi: Model murders cousin for money

New Delhi, Aug 6: A young model has been arrested for murdering his distant cousin allegedly for not giving him money.

The 26-year old model, Himanshu was arrested on Thursday, Aug 6 under murder charges, for killing 24-year old Veerpal Kaur Gill in south east Delhi.

Gill who was not seen in public since Jul 28 was found dead in her rented apartment by her landlord Manoharlal Gupta after two days.

A senior police officer who claimed that the two were cousins, said, "He used to demand money from her. He also used to take her mobile phone and laptop for personal use. Last time when she refused, he got furious and murdered her."

While investigating the murder, the police got a tip off from one of Gill's close friend about Himanshu, after which they arrested him.

Gill hailing from Punjab's Moga district was living alone in the city and worked as a Project Manager in an IT company.
