Six Indians killed in Nepal road mishap
Kathmandu, Aug 5 (ANI): At least six Indian nationals were killed and one seriously injured when a speeding car ran over them here in the wee hours today.
The accident took place when they were returning from Bir Hospital after getting done the medical check-up of a 15-year-old boy at around 12.45a m, a police official said.
The deceased have been identified as Bina Singh, 46, Madan Kumar Gupta, 29, Dharma Raj Sinha, 50, Krishna Devi Gupta, 40, Sanjeev Gupta, 15. One deceased is yet to be identified.
According to an eyewitness, the driver backed the car to roll over the pedestrians after hitting two of them first. Police have taken the car and arrested the owner.
The area was tense as hundreds of people gathered at the spot and blocked traffic for hours demanding strong action against the culprits, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
