Ragging: Student stabbed for not dropping trousers

Yamuna Nagar, Aug 5: Haryana police have booked three students for assaulting a youth, who was allegedly stabbed and ragged outside a college campus on Tuesday, Aug 4.

Police said that a case has been registered against the three students of Khalsa College for allegedly stabbing Daler Singh outside the campus when he had gone there to seek admission in Post Graduate course.

Daler Singh of Shankar Puri village in Jagadhri has been admitted in the civil hospital with head injuries.

In his complaint, Singh said that he was accompanied by his elder brother Sher Singh and his friend. They were asked to remove their trousers in front of girl students.

Sher Singh said, "We were in the canteen when I got a call that my motorcycle had fallen down. When we rushed out, we found a group of students standing there. They told us to remove our pants, but we refused. They attempted to use force on us, but we escaped. However, they managed to catch hold of my brother and attacked him with knives."

"A case for allegedly stabbing and beating has been registered against the trio," Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishan Hooda said.
