Pak Christians close schools to mourn killings

Islamabad, Aug 3: Schools and colleges have been closed across the Muslim-majority in Pakistan for three days to mourn and protest the killing of eight Christians.

Hundreds of Muslims suddenly attacked Christian neighborhood in Gojra city on Saturday, Aug 1 and also burnt dozens of houses.

At least six Christians were burned to death and two died of gunshots. The violence erupted after some Christians had desecrated a Quran.

Bishop Sadiq Daniel, a Pakistan's Christian leader said, "we want to register their anger and concern peacefully. He said also said that the government must "bring all perpetrators of the crime to justice."
