Chinese man drinks himself to death at own wedding

New Delhi, Aug 3 (ANI): The happiest day in a Chinese man's life turned out to be his last, when he drunk himself to death at his own wedding in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

And now, Zhang's family is demanding a 1.2-million-yuan compensation from the hotel where the reception was held.

The 32-year-old groom passed out after downing a "few extra" glasses of liquor during the wedding party on Sunday.

And after some hours, Zhang was found dead in his hotel room, reports the China Daily.

Forensic experts say that Zhang died of asphyxiation, which means that he choked on his own vomit.

Zhang's parents said that the hotel staff should not have left their heavily intoxicated son alone in his room, and that they should have phoned doctors, which they didn't. (ANI)
