Four militants killed in Jammu Kashmir

Kupwara, Aug 2: At least four militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu Kashmir's Kupwara district on Sunday, Aug 2.

According to a defence spokesman, acting on a tip-off, security forces launched a search operation to flush out hiding militants.

The operation was started in the Bangas Valley on Saturday, Aug 1. The search parties confronted a group of hiding militants and asked them to surrender, but the ultras opened fire triggering a fierce gunbattle.
