Melbourne, Jul 30: The Indian journalist who was the latest victim to assault in Australia claims that she was attacked by an Indian.

The scribe who was assaulted when she was carrying out an undercover operation on exposing the education scams down under was attacked on Saturday, Jul 25.

Rubbishing that the attack on her was racist, she is now claiming that she was attacked by a fellow indian who threatened her in Hindi.

"I'm just very, very appalled with the Indian media assuming that this was a racist attack," the 28-year-old reporter with ABC network was quoted as saying in The Australian.

"I know it was not a racially motivated attack... It was absolutely not. My attacker looked like an Indian person and I was threatened in Hindi," she said.

The reporter says she was attacked in an inner-city Sydney street by a man wearing a turban. She also said that she had received two threatening calls before this.

The scribe was working on an expose of the migration and education scams for the show 'Four Corners' which was aired on ABC earlier. The expose disclosed the way an aviation institute was fooling, and exploiting the students who signed up for a certification in civil aviation.
