Producer booked for raping struggling actress

Mumbai, Jul 28: In yet another casting couch story, a music video producer from Versova was reportedly arrested on Saturday, Jul 25 for allegedly raping an aspiring actress.

32-year-old Ram Kumar Kumawat was booked for rape for raping a 28-year-old struggling actress, Moumita Mitra on the promise of casting her in video albums.

Kumawat was remanded to police custody till July 29 by the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate"s court on Sunday, Jul 26, says media reports.

Mitra who wanted to get into films or music video was introduced to Kumarwat on Jul 20. Mitra went to Andheri to try out for an, was called back on Jul 22 to discuss over a role. And when she went to his office, she was allegedly raped.
