PML-N demands high-level commission on Kargil
Islamabad, July 28 (ANI): The Nawaz Sharif-led Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has urged President Asif ali Zardari to appoint a high-level commission to inquire into the Kargil issue.
It said that a Supreme Court judge should head the commission.
PML-N leader Siddiqul Farooq said that the commission should be directed to submit a report along with recommendations within three months of it being set up.
The PML-N described the Kargil War as a misadventure undertaken by the Pakistan Army and labeled then Chief of Army Staff, General Pervez Musharraf, as incompetent to hold that office.
It charged Musharraf with bringing the subcontinent to the brink of a nuclear war, besides isolating Pakistan from the rest of the world. (ANI)
