Bing breaks into Top 20 websites list
New York, Jul 28: Just after two months from its launch, the new search engine from Microsoft, Bing broke into the World's Top 20 websites.
Bing that has made a quick entry into the Alexa's top 20 list but is still behind sites like Facebook. However, interestingly the Alexa's 'top 20' page still lists the old Microsoft search, Windows Live Search at the fifth rank.
The Windows Live search is inactive now and going to live.com redirects the user to Bing. This is followed by the Microsoft Network or msn.com.
Bing, which was launched by the software giant, Microsoft in its war against Google for Internet dominance is still behind Google which continues to number one. This is followed by Yahoo and then yet another Google site, Youtube.
Bing's sudden sudden in popularity can be attributed to the fact that its a search engine and that too from Microsoft. However, it has still got a long way to go to defeat Google's monopoly.
