English language saves lady from Chinese robber
New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): A woman is said to have saved herself from being robbed by a Chinese-speaking robber by using her knowledge of the English language.
The woman, from Chaoyang district in Beijing, was showing the man around the house, which she wanted to rent out, when he suddenly asked her to hand over all the money she had, reports the China Daily.
At the same moment, the woman's phone rang, and she told the robber that it was an important business call from a foreign client and had to take it.
The robber agreed to it, and the woman told her friend on the phone in English about the situation and to call the police.
Having no idea what the woman had just said, the robber remained in the house, which was surrounded by the police within minutes, and he was arrested. (ANI)
