Taliban sends three explosive-laden vehicles to target important installations in Punjab
Lahore, July 23 (ANI): At least three explosive laden vehicles have entered Punjab and may target important installations in the province.
The Pakistan Interior Ministry has received intelligence inputs that two Toyota Corollas and a pick up van have been sent to the province to attack high value targets, The Daily Times reports.
According to the intelligence report, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Baitullah Mehsud has asked suicide bombers to target law-enforcement agencies, sensitive installations and important buildings and personalities in Punjab and Islamabad.
The Interior Ministry has issued a notice to all provincial home departments asking them to beef up security in and around all important buildings and foreign installations in the region. (ANI)
